Testimonials on some of Todd’s writing-related work:

“The amount of energy and attention Todd Wellman gave to my short story was humbling, flattering, impressive. Sentence by sentence, word by word, he explored and improved the effectiveness of my literary choices, taking into consideration not only the rhythmic nuances or technical constraints of the piece but also highlighting its internal poetics.” — Naira Kuzmich, International Editor for Hayden’s Ferry Review

“Todd Wellman understands how fiction works, and knows how to get writers to see it too.” — J. A. Tyler, Author of “Variations of a Brother War”

“Todd Wellman is a reliable, diligent editor who saw single-handedly that our content was read and selected on schedule. He was also a joy to work with for me, and for contributing writers with whom he worked to ensure that the stories which appeared in cream city were the best they could possibly be.” — Ann McBee, Editor-in-Chief of cream city review

“Todd and I went round and round about my quirky story, but we finally reached an agreement – which is what the best of editing is about, reaching an agreement to the readers’ benefit, and not necessarily winning a position.” — Ken Poyner, Author of “Sciences, Social” and “Cordwood”

“Todd’s meticulous attention to detail, as well as his ability to share and promote an author’s vision, proves him an asset to writers.” — Douglas Silver, Writer/New York

“I had the pleasure of working with Todd on one of my stories and I was impressed with his eye for detail as well as with his masterful sense of plot. Todd is a writer’s editor, tough but flexible, professional, and always enthusiastic.” — Pablo Piñero Stillmann, Associate Nonfiction Editor, Indiana Review

“Todd is a dream to work with. Keen, considerate, and thorough, he always had my story’s best interest at heart. Best of all, he did that thing you dream an editor will do–he made my story better than it was before.” — Helen Maryles Shankman
